Waste Control is a division of the SA Metal Group which was established in 1919, when the founder, Wolfe Barnett first began collecting scrap metal for export to markets in industrialized countries.  The SA Metal Group has grown from strength to strength and today it is one of  the largest metal recyclers and processors in South Africa.

Waste Control is a full-service waste management company which takes pride in conducting all business operations with integrity, professionalism, efficiency, highest customer service standards and a positive attitude to our environment.

Based on a successful track record in domestic waste collection throughout the Cape Peninsula, the City of Cape Town has awarded Waste Control the new Atlantic Seaboard refuse removal and recycling contract, effective from 1 January 2012. This is for the collection of domestic household waste as well as offering a free service for the collection of “dry” recyclable materials for residents living in Clifton, Bantry Bay, Camps Bay, Bakoven, Llandudno and Hout Bay.
